Terms of use
These terms describe how the service behaves today, in plain language rather than legal drafting. While the service is free they are what there is; the governing law will be named here before anything is ever charged for.
What the service does
View MPP reads Microsoft Project files - .mpp, Project .xml, .mpx and .mpd, along with Primavera .xer -
and shows the schedule as a Gantt chart in the browser. It can also export the schedule to an
Excel spreadsheet. It is a reader: it does not change your file and cannot write one back.
Using it without an account
Opening and converting a plan needs no account. Nothing is stored, so nothing can be returned to you later. An account is needed only to keep plans and to share them by link.
What you may upload
Only files you have the right to use. Do not upload anything you are not permitted to process outside your organisation. You keep every right in your own plans; the service claims none of them and does not use their contents for anything but showing and converting them for you.
Sharing
A shared plan is readable by anyone holding the link - or, on the paid plan, by anyone holding the link and the password you set. A password needs an active paid plan: when one lapses, the links it protected turn private and stop opening until it is renewed. Choosing to share is your decision and your responsibility. Sharing can be revoked at any time and the link stops working immediately.
Limits
Uploads are capped by size, and opening plans, uploading and signing in are limited in frequency, so that one visitor cannot exhaust the service for everyone. Free accounts may share a limited number of plans at a time; the paid plan lifts that limit and raises the upload size.
Paid plan
Pro is listed at a price, but billing is not switched on yet. During early access it is granted for three months at a time and renewed at no cost, so no money changes hands and there is nothing to cancel or refund. No card details are collected anywhere in the product.
When Pro starts costing something, the price, the billing period and the refund and cancellation terms will appear on this page and on the pricing page first. Nobody is charged without agreeing to it.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Keep your own copy of anything that matters: a plan stored here is a convenience, not a backup.
The service is free, and it is offered as-is: no warranty of any kind, and no liability for loss arising from using it, including a plan that fails to open, an export that is wrong, or a period when the site is unreachable. Your original file is never modified, so nothing here can damage the copy you hold.
The governing law is not named while the service is free and no contract of sale exists. It will be stated here before any charge is introduced.
