Opening a plan is free and always will be. What is paid for is the second party - the colleague who opens your schedule through a link without installing anything.

Revoking a link is free on any plan - making a project private again kills its link for everyone, immediately. Sharing needs a confirmed email address on any plan. A link sent from an unproven mailbox is a reputation problem, so the address is checked once before the first link goes out.
What the price pays for
Reading costs nothing and always will, and so does the Excel export. What Pro pays for is everything that outlives the request: plans kept without a cap, links that stay open for the colleague you sent them to, a password on those links, and files up to 50 MB instead of 10.
The yearly plan is the cheaper way in - $59 against $83.88 for twelve monthly charges, so roughly two and a half months come off the bill.
Common questions
- Do I have to pay to read a file someone sent me?
- No, and you do not need an account either. Drop the file, read the chart, download the spreadsheet if you want one. Nothing is stored and nothing is charged.
- What happens to my plans if I stay on the free tier?
- They stay. The free tier keeps up to 20 saved plans and 2 live share links; going over the cap stops new saves, it never deletes an old one.
- What happens when Pro ends?
- You drop back to the free tier. No plan is deleted and public links keep working, but sharing returns to 2 links at a time, saving stops above 20 plans, and any password-protected link becomes private and stops opening for the people you sent it to. Renewing is one click on the account page.
